    i use both....mapp gas most for outside/large pipe...ie gas runs mapp can also help sometimes when u can't just get rid of the last bit of water in the pipe. i carry a roll of leaded and unleaded..... (keep the unleaded for show..lol) (not really :roll: )

    not used either..is it leaking from the rad seems? or from a compression / nut that could be repaired? could you just turn the rad off for now by closing both valves?

    you can follow the pipe and see if the is a "T" off to the cooker. Or get the cooker fitted by a gas eng so he can make all relevant checks for your safety

    might be a leak from the bath waste ? the flexible connectors i use from toolstation have worked everytime...dont get the cheap ones...they are about £3.50 -£4 each and they do two diff type of ending to suit your situation

    thats what i'd do...carefull not to do it too much at tap ends as you might end up with taps too near the wall

    even better, loop the hose you use to drain down, over a downstairs door, that way the downstairs rads can't empty

    hard to say without seeing whats required..if its leaking from the the cistern to flush pipe joint then maybe undo it...refit it with some ptfe...this might do it but they are not normally flexible, so i'm not sure if you might be refering to the pan connector. take the boxing off...check...

    have to agree with bahco...shouldn't be that bad...cutting out and replacing a bit of ceiling is not that big a job (if thats whats required) you might damage the first run of tiles, so have some spare ones
