Yours will be electric, the oven the op is on about is gas, they work very differently with the gas not having the extra features you are on about.

Assuming here that you have bought a Stoves oven........ I am going to be honest with you here, cancel it and get the non-fanned one, theres no real benefit in having a fanned one but if it breaks outside warranty it is likely to cost so much that you will throw it away, if you dont cancel make...

Nothing made in the Rangemaster factory is a POS, the new Mercury will be built exactly the same as a Falcon and will last for as long as you want to keep it, its built differently to the Mercury as quite frankly the Mercury build was a bit silly, I always prefered the Falcon over Mercury myself...

Not at all, to work on a gas appliance the minimum you need is to be competent and unless you know about gas then you arent competent, you had to get to the connection on the oven stat for a start. Its not my opinion its the law, youre not up against a preacher here either, I tell the truth...

You dont have to be gas safe registered but you do have to be "competent" by law....... How would you prove competence if asked the question ?

LPG is twice as dangerous than nat gas maybe even more, take these facts into account, 1 litre LPG = 246 litres gas approx, if you have a fire at home with nat gas the supply can be turned off, but with an internal butane bottle you could be saying goodbye to the house and maybe the neighbours...

DIY gas is illegal unless you are competent..... full stop. If you are competent you can do gas work is yours or others homes as long as its not for reward or part of your work. If for part of your work or for reward you must be registered.
