13 in 1 ladder - is it any good?

I have the 11 in 1 ladder, only ever use it in straight and A frame mode. I would not trust it as a platform at all! The only reason I got it is that the extended length is 4.8M and is pretty compact. Really tempted in one of those little giant ladders though.

When there's not enough space for your drill.....

Those flexi ones are OK for very low torque aplications. Anything else and you will struggle. Even the angle chucks are not really designed for high torque, as its only good as the gears, which are not really well made.

    screws and plugs size help

Most of the work I do is in older houses and these screws just dont put out! Plugs and screws for me. Also tiling a plasterboard wall does not make it waterproof! far from it. Although your right I don't use aquapanel either, too expensive. Tub of tanking does me fine.

    Pan offset connector

What you will find with some fly by night plumbers is that they wont bother lifting the pan up, leaving the offset connector up but thus losing the flushing diameter of the soil pipe i.e less that 4". this will inevitably lead to blockages.

Perfectly acceptable, make sure to get the boss as upright as feasibly possible.

    radiator valve leak

As stated that particular brand is olive based, older tails will have a slightly malleable edge face on the tail which will form a seal around the valve. If I'm putting back an old valve back on I always sand down the edge with some emery cloth and apply a tiny amount of boss white to the face...

    Which drill bit for plasterboard?

Hmm I've used plenty of these without the tool and had no issues whatsoever. Granted takes a little longer to get it fixed as you have to be careful the the spike behind doesn't just rip the P/B to shreds. Once in its fine.

Which to go for...Bosch or Metabo

I got the Bosch 10.8v driver, very useful. Also more versatile with the number of tools unlike Metabo and Makita which are limited.

    New Dewalt XR Drills

Didn't see the point in the new XR range. I have the XRP 55Nm drill, don't use it much as its my backup. I have the 80Nm Makita BHP451. The extra torque is great, saves me getting the impact driver out a lot, using it less and less these days as it makes a right racket!
