Does the SAB ring when you have shorted tamp to bell hold?
Disconnect +ve on the panel and install the bell, reconnect +ve and bell should power up with no sound then test making sure all tamper switches are closed on the bell and panel.
What bell are you going for?
By the sounds of it and correct me if I am wrong you want to fit an internal wireless PIR outside as external PIR's can be installed and work in the rain?
The panic button will need resetting if there is a keyhole on the front of the panic. A picture would be useful.
If you do not have a key then unscrew the faceplate, push the red button upwards and reconnect, then reset at panel.
If the panel has reset itself then I would advise replacing the panel and keypads with the same or upgrading. I have had a few of the old veritas panels do this when in armed/disarmed state.
Tbh I'm not sure if the company can reset a tamper fault remotely through the phone line. One way or another your going to have to pay to get the system reset unfortunately.
If you know the engineers code then that will silence the alarm when changing the battery.
If not then just open panel, enter user code to silence, swap out the battery and then reset the panel. Job done!
As above. The battery in the panel should be changed every 4/5 years. To test the bell battery remove the hold of wire in the panel end and the bell should activate.
Risco Agility 3 and Pyronix Enforcer are my 2 main wireless panels that I install.
Never had any real problems with them and we have 350ish panels out there. As long as the alarms are installed correctly/batteries changed every year in sensors you won't have a problem.
