Should an electrician be wiring gas boiler controls?

Its a doddle. I prefer to do my own plumbing aswell, reduces the chance of a plumber making a right mess of things.

Should an electrician be wiring gas boiler controls?

You need to stop working with 'idiots wot have wire cutters n stuff' and find a decent electrician. Plan wiring is generally very simple i dont understand how anyone who calls themselves a spark can get confused by it.

    NEXT Lighting Problems...

Sorry, mis-read your first post. Sounds a bit odd. Don't suppose you can post a photo of the fittings and the wires coming out of the ceiling?

Replacing a 47 year old CSU

Yes, there is more testing than just Ze. but you say it is 47 years old. Other than simply 'looking' at the cable, what makes you think it will remain in good condition for for the next 20-30-40 years? how much deterioration has already taken place? what if the cable installed has a working...

Replacing a 47 year old CSU

paying the fee will never make anybody 'safe', only competence (and suitable tools and test equipment) will do this. What testing equipment do you have and do you know how to use it? What do you intend telling your council when they ask questions about compliance with regulations and...

    Electric gates

Why don't you try looking somewhere like this for a starter.... http://www.theelectricgateshop.co.uk/ or http://www.cameuk.com/ As others have said, due to recent legislation, you'd be mad to attempt this install yourself. Others may also tell you about various safety or convenience...

Safety Electrical Connection tower badge come off

You are quite correct, its just a label telling you not to remove a clamp or the wire connected to it, which you would find adjacent to your water stop cock or gas meter. It does concern me a little that the intervention of a kitten could cause this to fall off. I would suggest you locate...

BAS, is it possible for you to live by your own rules? You start off this thread by telling the OP to use proper english here (see post 1 may 9.08am) you then proceed to use improper english yourself, i.e. "t**t" Hypocrite Also, i can't believe you're still banging on about the thumbs...

Complete and utter tosh. I suggest bin the electrician (if he actually exists) and get someone who knows what they are talking about. Just as a side note, its coming up to the holiday season. Do you know if your half-witted electrician is planning many vacations during the process of the...
