That is correct. Thanks for your quick reply. I have been scratching my head all day. When I use two tiles they interlock ok but unable to fit three tiles snugly due to constuction of tiles.

I am trying to fit some double roman roof tiles. Two tiles interlocked together and the gap at the apex would be too large for a standard ridge tile approx 14 inches. When I try to fit three tiles ,I have no problem getting the spacing correct so that the bottom two tiles have the same amount...
