    rosemary tiles

OMG joe ? what planet are you from??? Rosemary's in perfect condition, with all lugs and no chips, splintering etc will get you a max of 15p each. Most old rosemary roofs were nailed with big headed clout nails that have rusted so you lose at least 50%, regardless of roof condition. I'd say a...

    Match a Tile???

just a thought if your stuck with choices for tiles, the 'cambrian' roof tile is used quite a bit up here for shallow pitches. They are an inter locking slate looking tile. Not likely to match what you have but the best tile for shallow pitches imo, i think they're good until 12.5 degrees of...

Dupont tyvek roof membrane - noisy when windy - help req'd !

sounds like it's been laid a bit loose, but wind can get right up there if your roof is tiled? as opposed to slate. you could glue it in say 3 spots in between every rafter, you'd still have it venting then as opposed to gluing the whole overlap.

How to tell whether leak has been fixed successfully or not

a bucket of water would be no good as a test of a leak is the leak was caused by wind . what kind of roof is is? slate, tile, flat lead? a pic would be most helpful
  18. H

    slating times

I'd seriously advise you to reconsider, have you marked the roof out? have you sorted the slates? Are all your battens straight? 0.5 inch one way and 0.5 inch the other would render your roof next to useless in a strong wind. If you make a mistake (100% guaranteed) it will cost you probably...

Does this Velux sun tunnel look right to you???

you can alter the amount of exposed flashing on either side by simply closing the battening gauge for the tiles, your on a hip end anyway so no need to worry about working the gauge out to meet the roofline. But as said it's a perfectly acceptable installation. Oh and the pics you posted...
