    firstly/;is it plastic or wood im thinking it plastic ,most paints wiil peel off or scatch ,if its out off the way i would put a coat of vinyl matt and then silk it,,if its going to get knocked you can first coat it with dulux sper grip quite a good primer then silk it.... hope it helps...

    liquid lol clean down the copper with some turps, wipe dry,prime with some calcium plumbate or other primer,oil based undercoat x2,gloss . hope this helps

    if the wall is not going to get absolutly soaked i would look at dot and dbbing with new plasterboard , but first tank the damp wall ,atleast you will have a good wall to tile on thats how i did mine and had no p robs for 5 years ,, hope this helps im sure someone else will add to this,,,...

    Tiling over Artex

    prob not asbestos but i would remove it ,steaming is ok,if you go over the top good possibility it will come away from the plaster so better to be safe and sure hope it helps

    surely you would level youre bath ? find centre of the wall you are to tile ...full tile working both ways of line (equal cuts each end)if the tiles continue past the bath, strait batton following level of the bath and up u go....remove batton next day and work down to the skirting. ps...

    i would sand back and oil base prime ,undercoat x2 glossx2 sanding between coats.you say you have some breathabell paint(microporous)if it wasnt coated with breathable paint in the first place it shouldnt make a difference using dulux undercaot and gloss

    can you move the bath over to reduce the gap ?tiling over old tiles is not recomended but if so the adhesive does take twice salong to go off hope this helps.
