    Low Hot Water Pressue

I wouldn't expect the outlet to be encrusted after 18 years. Do any of the taps splutter with air? Has this problem just happend or has it gradually happend? Well my first port of call would be the gate valve but you say its okay? Any plumber will tell you gate valves are unreliable...

    Low Hot Water Pressue

I don't know the age of your system but a comman cause of this is a build up of dirt/crust around the CWS tank outlet to the hot water cylinder. Gives the result of a half closed valve.

    grey plastic heating pipes?

There's an estate near me with Hep2o throughout and I get regular calls regarding weeping from the joints, sometimes pouring out, sometimes just weeping. On all times I've never seen a missing insert, the pipe has been pushed fully home, every time it is the nut/coller that is slack. So...

    grey plastic heating pipes?

If you need to use chrome pipe, then don't use it in a push fit fitting. The grab ring won't bit into the chrome plating. Use a compression fitting with a brass olive.

    Showers direct2u?

Looks like a two year old designed their website. :x Was it supposed to be next day delivery Johnny G? I'm always wary of these ten a penny online discount retailers, most are just backstreet hovels who ship straight from the manufacturer. Bombard them with emails and phone calls...

Gut wrenchingly shocking!! The final nail in the coffin are the cheap & nasty blue boxes of doom (Horstmann).

    Drill/Driver advice required

I agree, Ryobi will be an excellent compramise in this situation. Are you in the trade Iron Naz? The cheap direct power from Screwfix may seem okay, but you will be sick and tired of the batteries needing constant recharge, everytime you get it out of the van it will have lost its charge...

    grey plastic heating pipes?

http://www.hep2o.co.uk/ Do the fittings look like those in the link? They haven't been out all that long 10 - 15years??, its predecessor was the Acorn system which I'm fairly sure was grey(before my time), you mentioned everything was old and seized. Normal Hep20 installations are newish...

price to install bathroom and tiling

Never underestimate how long it takes to tile walls, any diy bodger can just throw them up but to get each one bang on to the next is time consuming especially if the walls are bulged. Nothing is a straight swap. What tile adhesives are you planning on using IronNaz? Get used to using...

P Shaped Bath with shower Door

I find bath screens a constant pain in my bottom cheeks, the trouble is you have to wait for the silicone to cure before you can test it, so if you're just replacing the screen you have to rely on the customer sometimes to call if it leaks. I find its all down to the design moslty.

    Advice needed on career options

What is stopping you setting up on your own? Plenty of 6 week wonders setting straight up with their box of cheap Silverline tools and making some sort of living. Its a saturated market but there's a lot of very shoddy work being done at the momet (round here at least) so good plumbers are...

Bath - securing to wall trouble

I dont know?......they are probably the ones, baths come with either two or three L shaped brackets that go behind the tiles on the top, some people get mixed up and put them on the other way. They never really secure a bath properly on their own, most manufacturers recomend battons...

Bath - securing to wall trouble

I like to go overboard when fitting a bath, like TicklyT I secure a batton to the wall and sit the bath on top, and use a generous amount of good quality silicone on the edge and squeeze it against the wall to provide the main seal if you like, the 'secondry' seal goes againt the tiles (always...

    Tap Troubles - please help

Did you replace both tap headgers or just one? If you replaced both and it is still dripping then there is either dirt/grit on the washer or the seat is worn and will need re cutting. With mixers its not easy to tell which side is passing.

    Plumbing, Tap hole too big

All I can think of is buy a chrome bottle trap and use the oulet flange, it may have to be cut to size first somehow. http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/1-14-basin-minimalistic-626-16793/10001 Edit:If you find the manufacturer then give them a ring and see if you can buy just the flange, the...
