    Are the mixer taps the pillar kind with jumpers? How old are they? If they are the normal headgears then it may have come off its thread by being screwed down too far.

    right toilet pan connector?

    He seems to have done an okay job with the rest of the bathroom but he's made such a hash of the soil connection. As said all he needed to do was insert a small piece of 110mm soil pipe into the socket, although even if he had the angle is wrong. I would be very suprised if that didn't leak...

    I was merely saying there are houses doted around that are a mixture of copper and lead. I would have no worrys about joining copper to lead if it was only topping up a c/h system. I know of at least one house where it comes in the property in lead, and the entire house is lead piped.

    The soldering lead to copper video was meant to show people that there is a way to get the water back on tempererly until you can return to remove all lead - like thats always easy! There are always going to be critics with anything you do and there are plenty of F+E tanks fed with lead.
