    Vaillant ecotec hw circulation pump

Well, sometimes if you want a job done properly, you have to get on and do it yourself. First time bending pipes and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Wilo bronze pump fitted (above expansion in pic) and pipe as close to furthest tap as possible, but still 7 meters away. Pipes all lagged now and works...

Use a twin coil unvented cylinder with boiler only

I tried to have solar thermal fitted to my flat garage roof but nobody was interested. If you don't link the coils only half the tank heats up, so in that respect it made the tank much more useful!

Should i replace old copper pipes?

Hi team, I'm going through a whole house renovation, and just about to start on the ground floor. Oil boiler already replaced with a system boiler and heat exchanger as installers didn't want to trust the old pipe work to withstand pressure. I've now worked out rad sizes and pipe sizes for...

    Vaillant ecotec hw circulation pump

It makes me sad, as you tend to get one shot of doing these things properly. The so called plumber has also run the cold water kitchen feed near the heating pipes under the kitchen floor, so every time we need cold water at the kitchen tap, we have to run it for 40ish seconds. A little reminder...

    Vaillant ecotec hw circulation pump

You wouldn't believe this plumber, he was part of a larger building firm. He originally had the pump running the wrong direction. Everything, and I mean everything, that he did had to be redone... I'm worked for the pipes under the floor!

    Vaillant ecotec hw circulation pump

I've spent the last while reading, and now see why it needs to be a bronze pump (corrosion). I've also read that the return leg should not be in plastic - is that correct? If so, it's game over!

    Vaillant ecotec hw circulation pump

Thanks! That's a good question - it's a Grundfos UPS3 15-50/65. Does it make a difference? I've wired the pump today as per wiring instructions for 'secondary circulation' (ie have wired it to x13 on boiler) and have set the controls for 'circulation weekly planner' but only get 6 volts coming...

Re-insulating flat roof - advice sought!

Someone will be along to answer your question more thoroughly, but I think you are on the right tracks. If these are particularly damp rooms then I would advise putting an additional damp proof membrane between the plasterboard and insulation to ensure no water ingress. I would also ensure...
