I downloaded the driver but could do nothing with it, it did not make sense to me. I may be missing something?

I have taken the side of my desktop tower pc to see what type of slots I have (for firewire card) and I find that the slot (coloured blue)has printed by it PCI1 is this the same as PCI slot (I have 64 bit PC)
