How to Replace Mixer Shower - This one is leaking

I believe the builder of the house purchased it from Travis Perkins. Here is a pic of casing: The centre dial just says temperature - no logo present.

    multicar insurance

Chris Knott are an independent broker that seem to be able to offer really good deals. For me they were better than all the price comparison sites and Direct Line, Churchill etc - £335 when closest comparible cover was £380 The thing to watch out with the Meerkat type people is they usually...

How to Replace Mixer Shower - This one is leaking

Hi Our Mixer shower - fed from Cold Mains and Combi Boiler is leaking. I think from the spindle that control temperature. I have removed control knobs and casing, but the shower is unbranded and does not have make or model number on casing or unit underneath. I am thinking it will be best...

Viessmann Boiler - Water Leak and F5 fault

Somebody has been out and freed off the flap now as it would have took a few days to get the new part. It seems to work fine now and he said it might not stick again so he is not currently ordering a part. If I order a part online then will it be the modified version - that way if it goes...

    Viessmann 'F5' problem

Do you have an update on this? Our boiler has today had a low pressure shut down and after topping up now has an F5 fault. Unfortunately the low pressure seem to be because the water was on our worktop!

Viessmann Boiler - Water Leak and F5 fault

Thanks for your reply There is no fresh water today and the system is still at 1.4bar but obviously the system has not fired yet. Just wondered really if the F5 fault and water could be related. Outside there is a copper pipe, but I always thought this was for the condensate? It just...

Viessmann Boiler - Water Leak and F5 fault

Early this morning we returned from Holiday to find the boiler in Low Pressure alarm and Water all over the worktop - the boiler is a Viessmann Vitodens 100 30kw installed into the house from new in 2006. My first reaction was to top up the system using the top up loop to see if the water...

    Wiring a SALUS RT500RF into a Viessmann Vitodens 100???

I currently have a Sunvic RF Digital, but the receiver is not working any longer - the circuit boards seems to have given up. The signal are still recieved from wireless stat but the switch to the boiler is not working. Even pressing and holding the test button does not work. Anyway, I have...

    New boiler: Viessmann?

I can see what you mean now, the engineer who came and changed the PCB & Ignition module explained it to me and showed me an old one out of his van.

    New boiler: Viessmann?

Thanks for your really helpful comments, I think when the chap did the service he must have inadvertently changed some settings. I am doubtful about heat exchanger, I think the cold water is caused by the burner turning off as it thinks the water is too hot, the digital display reads 90 degrees...

    New boiler: Viessmann?

I can now see the point of a service from a specialist on the Viessmann as it seems not many engineers are familiar with them. Those that are, like yourself, would see that the ignition unit was a type that would develop a fault later on, and a suppose could have had it changed at the first year...

    New boiler: Viessmann?

I seriously doubt that the not having it serviced has contributed to this problem, as it appears to be a common problem. The Corgi registered engineer, who installed a different system for us in a previous home, failed to see the problem anyway, so how he could have prevented it in previous...

    New boiler: Viessmann?

Hopefully I have not misunderstood what they said to me, but I understood for the £190 they would send an engineer and they would change the ignition module, the PCB and another part, any/all of which could be causing the F4 fault. They said they do this to prevent multiple visits and the PCB...
