good point,i would be livid, :evil: if i was told to pay for cylinder after paying cover for two years insurance. trading standards should step in. also i thing there should be a cap on how many costomers, insurance companys should have,to allow fair share of trade for self employed engineers.

scottish and southern electric,s.s.e are best,they are costomer focused, look after there staff,safty first,and you get a proper boiler service. not like other companys where you get get 5 minute silly performance check.once a year. your treated like a costomer not a number.

it MUST be fitted to heating system,its for when heating off in summer she can have it heated from the electric element. unless u know what your doing ,dont fit it.

dont forget to turn off rad valves :shock:

sounds like gas valve solonoid fualty, old boards two led at front are flawed. upgraded pcb has single led,wire loom,front fascia,and pcb incased in plastic box. u need rgi again

as far as i know gledhill have gone bust.parts availablity in future uncertain.gledhill tech line is £1.00 a minute. i would get an independant unvented qualified engineer out onsite.

sounds like reciever or synchrone motor on zone valve,but will not advice u on doing live checks.

thanks for reply yes, he uses car every day to work. mechanic checked alternater,due to flat batt. he did say started ok on way to work , but trouble starting after work.each day ,strange.

friend has nissan aimera 1.4 ten years old,he replaced battary £80. :cry: alternater checked ok.still difficult to start. removed plugs,found to be wet,not from petrol, but moisture :? any ideas please thanks :)

i had same problem greenstar e.a fualt,intermittent,all components checked ok,replaceing gas valve fixed it.

sunds like he back filled the system which could suggest blocked cold feed.

for safety point,make sure cold feed to pump from storage tank is lower than cold feed to hot water cylinder,if tank runs dry to prevent scalding. get a plumber to fit.
