    simply plastering

Just gave my opinion, like everyone else. There is no way in hell I would teach a client whilst plastering myself. It's hard enough teaching an apprentice never mind a client. If they have questions or need advice then I'd happily give them some but teaching them, no thanks! That's what courses...

Newbie to plastering, patchwork quilt of plasterboard lol...

Yes. Bonding can be used on plasterboard but it is only used as a backing plaster prior to skimming. There is no need to use it unless you need to build up thickness

    Skimming again

It will(probably) crack at that thickness

    Skimming again

6mm is too thick for multi. Id give a coat of bonding about 4mm first then two coats.of multi. That should take you out about 6/7mm

    Skimming textured ceiling

Ive never tried to ****** plaster and probably never will. Ive only done the opposite through dirty water. I know a few lads who went down the mine and the gympsum boys were talking about the possibilites of making and selling their own retarder in saches. Dont know how much truth is in it though

    Skim over wallpaper

It's not the plasterers job to strip the wallpaper off the wall unless he has quoted to do so. This still doesn't give them an excuse for doing so, he/they should have discussed this with you prior to plastering

Airbricks blocked with pebbles from dashing

Woman are always the same mate. Just think yourself lucky you don't have mine!

A piece of pebbledash has fallen off my house :(

Make sure you scratch your first coat and make sure you keep your second coat in a couple mm to allow for chips to lie flush with existing.

Airbricks blocked with pebbles from dashing

I wouldn't worry about it too much, they will come out in time. If you are that bothered then Hoover the vents and the chips will clear out

    How much stone for pebbledashing

It's not tonnes you need. Why can't you source them in 25kg bags? You would need no more than 6 bags if you are catching the chips. So 150kg

    Skim over wallpaper

Agree with Roy. Give it a good 5-10(rough guess) sprays and hopefully the skim stays on for you. If not then at least it will be easier to come off this way

    Skimming textured ceiling

For the record, it was me that called you a clown. But only because my last memory of you on here was your idiotic repetative posting on that night. Was rather irritating and you accused me of being an alter ego of peaps which was laughable.
