    Do I need to cut the ends off new copper pipe with a pipe cutter before crimping. Or can I use it straight out of the bundle without trimming the ends?

    Yes it is realativley small. I know they heat via radiation. Hence why I thought over sizing the btu rating.

    So you'd probably go with the double columns and maybe be a tad over sized. These radiators transfer heat via radiation not convention. So best of being abit over sized as opposed to standard convertor radiators?

    I'm looking at swapping 2, 1100 wide by 500 heigh single panel converter radiators for two tower column radiators. The existing are about 890 watts each. The columns will be 440 wide 1800 heigh a single in those are 850watts. A double is 1250 watts. Would I be best of with the double column or...

    Plastic pipe under downstairs floorboards

    Does anyone worry about putting plastic pipework in for central heating in the void below the floorboards downstairs with regards to mice or rats?

    Flomasta fill valve

    I dont think you can, it's a Screwfix valve but they dont seem to sell them. It's a toilet were you can't swap the valve without splitting the toilet and pan. Hence why I was hopeful I could service it.

    Looking at it I may need to buy a new valve to get the washer. Still alot easier then splitting the cistern and pan to swap it.

    Is this serviceable at all isn't shutting off properly? It doesn't shut of lets water over flow in to the pan. Then eventually shuts off. To swap the valve would have to split the cistern from pan as it's an ideal concealed one. Thanks

    Thanks yes it just depends if there is another room there to get a spanner in to tighten new and untighten the old fill valve.
