Cheers for the prompt responses guys, unfortunately there is no 'twist-out' starter and putting the cheap plastic cover back didn't bring any light either. At least I feel a bit better about buying a new light knowing that I tried to fix it based on good advice. Thanks

The fluorescent striplight above the mirror in our bathroom has just stopped working. I have replaced the old bulb/striplight which was blown (discoloured brown and rattled), but to no joy. No fuses were tripped in the fusebox. Is there a fuse hidden in the light somewhere? i have taken...
