    Best Combi Drill

you could get the new bosch gsb18vli for about £220 plus the vat , the gsb18 with the nimh batts should still be available for around the same price with 3 batteries and a impact driver body or you could save up your pennies and get the gbh36vli COMPACT which is a hell of a lot lighter than...

why are so many people anti lithium ion

you speak with experience of hilti and makita - only 2 brands out of lots . As i said before makita did seem to have probs with their batteries but seem to have overcome them now . Bosch have never seemed to have problems .Note though that bosch have only done 10.8 and 36v , the 14.4 and 18v...

why are so many people anti lithium ion

no axe to grind at all - but you made a very sweeping statement that seemed somewhat un-informed . I have no vested intrest as far as this forum goes - i do sell both bosch and makita and granted there have been problems wth the makita li-ion batteries , which now seem to be sorted . Certainly...

why are so many people anti lithium ion

pardon me for being blunt - but what a load of crap  (please note - i used a far stronger word than rubbish !) over the last couple of years ive sold a lot of bosch 10.8 and 36v lithium powered drills and have NEVER had the slightest moan directed at me ( and there aint many DIYers who...

why are so many people anti lithium ion

there seem to have been no problems with the bosch 36v or the 10.8v . Makita did seem to have some problems which now seem to have been resolved. I'd avoid the lxt and mxt as both have very suspect gearboxes. The cordless that i would reccommend would be the bosch "turbo tough" very powerfull ...

9" grinder cutting disks and which is which

the date is a "use by" date not only is it illegal to sell them when they are out of date - its illegal to use them !!!! no date on diamond discs as they dont tend to denigrate ( if thats the right word) over time by the way did you know that you have to go on a training course to change...

9" grinder cutting disks and which is which

before you try anything check the metal ring in the centre - if there isnt a date stamped on it - bin the discs . If there is a date on but that date has past - bin the discs. If you arnt sure which is which - bin them in short - BIN EM ALL they arnt expensive and i'm sure that you are...

    Air nailer

to answer your question - it depends on what length nail you want to fire. A brad nailer will fire 18g brads from 15 to 50 mm , the 2in1 will do the same plus staples up to 35mm. A second fix nailer will fire 16g (lot thicker) nails from 32 to 63mm . For arcs etc i would think that a 2nd fix...
