Hot water cylinder on Combi boiler

glad you agree :) I got the combi for budgetary reasons but I miss proper hot water. I am sure some are better but mine, and all the others i have used give either lots of tepid water or small amounts of scalding hot water!

Hot water cylinder on Combi boiler

Hi, I am considering adding a hot water cylinder to my existing combi boiler. Is there any compelling reason that such a setup would be unfesible. I would cap off the combi hot water supply and use the cylinder instead. The controls would require 2 zone valves and another timer but other...

    Scantronic 9500 and 9505 lims

I am integrating the alarm open/close signal into our lighting control systems so that they cant be left on when the place is empty. It would have been convenient to have an output from a lim as it will be nearer the controls. The open/close off the output board on the main print will do for now...

My Fish are not happy :(

Thats how I would imagine it should work, apart from the cell being compattible with a transformer load, have you tried it without the UPS? Some UPSs cause problems with certain equipment and I had a relay chattering running on a big UPS system. Failing that, Im out of suggestions :)

My Fish are not happy :(

Is the photocell a 110V or 230V version? Is it installed before or after the 230 -> 110V transformer?

    light fitting

For a salon, I would get either, prismatic or low reflection louvres. You will most probably find them with cat 2 louvres which are for offices and screens, We have them with prismatic louvres in our canteens and locker rooms and they give a hard wearing, easily maintained, well distributed...

New boiler with a fancy flue

To clarify, the output is 90kW and the input is some 35% less ;) I may not be a physics genius, but I can work that out! Thanks for the valuable advice by the way.

New boiler with a fancy flue

its the output, not the input wich is about 35% more. I went to a comp I might get some booties, but only because I like the sound of the word! Its not actually my house, its a house that is used as a meeting place and the such like. The other possibility that I am considering is to fit...

Its output is about 350,000Btu, i dont have a U6 meter, its a big fat one with 35mm copper. I dont let a domestic RGI work on it either, I use a commercial one.

New boiler with a fancy flue

but the drafts add character! and the windows are listed so I cant alter them. The windows are due for a fettle so that should help. Yes, I didnt think it was especially small, 3 floors and a basement. Id rather pay for the drafts than stick bristly strips on the windows :) Next, you will be...

New boiler with a fancy flue

Hi, The reason I mentioned 90kW is because I currently have a 90kW boiler in! It is not a very warm building and has radiators everywhere which dont get particularly hot, they all have TRVs on which need a spot of percussive maintenance every now and again. The water is heated by an...

New boiler with a fancy flue

Why 2, wouldnt a Quinta 115 or a 85 do? I could use the concentric flue but I thought they had to be away from windows and nowhere below a window or has this changed since it is a fanned flue?
