    yes, thats exactly what the bills are now showing. it cant be the installation because nothing has changed between normal consumption and the high consumption, its so basic to follow and is all new 5 years ago

    the supply goes cutout ¦ meter ¦ main consumer unit ¦ ¦ sub d/b1 sub db/2 the isolator is in the main consumer unit, this has two breakers in it supplying the two sub boards.

    we checked it tonight three hours apart, first reading 41978 then 41988 over the last 39 days, it averages at 45 per day actual readings

    yes, but it goes up with the main switch turned off!

    its boxed in so not easy to get a good pic of the setup. the incoming supply goes to the meter, then to a small consumer unit which feeds two other consumer units remote to the meter. There is definitely nothing untoward with how its wired up and its not being tapped into its 1000 flashes...

    they are actual readings and works out at 45 per day, this time last year, also actual readings, i was using 6kwh a day. its a small bungalow. im sure the meter must be wrong

    nah, no lodgers. there arent any red units on the meter im going on the huge bills and the fact that its still registering use of electricity with the consumer units turned off

    they all look like the light is a bit directional, like a hemisphere at the end, is the light going to spread out well in a bulkhead designed for a gls? also, what do you think of the colour of them, i doubt they will want anything harsh thanks :)

    did they ever fit bigger than 60a BS3036 fuses to cutouts? i have a roll of 100A fusewire at work, bit tricky to bend though :lol:

    no. I have got lots of spares, just not any 20a 3p ones. its quite a big board too, 72 sp ways iirc. and its full. The strange thing is that one of them is full of 7.5a breakers, never seen that size anywhere else before.
