    Dorman Smith Loadmaster MCB

Hi, I need to replace a mcb in a Loadmaster d/b It seems that 3p breakers smaller than 40a arent available anymore. Does anyone know if replacement breakers were made that will fit in this board? Thanks

    B&Q lighting dept

i have 12v halogen downlighters all over my house, fitted 4 years ago - not replaced a single one. i did have CFLs in the outside lights but they were so bad they were pointless so I changed them for halogen GLS lamps, not replaced one yet. the LEDs dont give as good light as halogens. I do...

    1970's mem 3 phase

If you are going to replace it with three sp boards and a 3p board, why dont you fit a large enough 3phase one and put RCBOs in that as required, would be a lot tidier.

    Saunier Duval F30E Leaking

Hi, I have got a Saunier Duval F30E boiler and it has sprung a leak on a plastic part between the heat exchanger and the DHW outlet. I cant see what part it is in the instructions but think it might be the three way valve. Is anyone able to identify the part for me? Thanks

    What's this wire?

I thought it might be the earth for a party line. these were sometimes connected to a rod at the telegraph pole. That might make more sense. Irrelevant now anyway :)

    What's this wire?

another giveaway for it being cable tv would be the depth that its buried at, about 3" is usual :)

    What's this wire?

its not your cable tv then is it? That service is always delivered using two cables, often joined together. Not seen them looking like that though.

    What's this wire?

The armoured one looks original, its a bit odd seeing a white indoor grade telephone cable buried unprotected. Id make a guess that the armoured one has failed at some point and been replaced by the white one. Can you see where your telephone cables enter the house? usually via an external...
