Thanks for your comments. so a diverter valve it could be, it was installed by a registered corgi plumber but supplied by myself!!

This boiler is 2.5 years old and has just started to give me hot water problems. The rads heat up instead of giving me hot water sometimes, even though the display shows the hot water working. If I turn heating into off mode and wait a while and then try the hot water, it oftens works properly...
