Floor finally down and now we can start prepping the walls for reskimming which will then allow me to get accurate measurements to design and build the inbuilt storage/wardrobes. At least we are working indoors now the weather is getting colder and turning :)

We were then able to crack on and get the floor down

So my plumber turned up as arranged and removed all the unnecessary pipework which I was glad about. He also removed the towel rail but left the pipework so a new radiator can be fitted as it will be a hallway once complete. [

We have started to take the floor up now so that we can take out the holes where the pipework came through and make good the floor. I truthfully didn't think we would get the bathroom gutted in just a few hours and all that remains is for the plumber to come in and remove all the unnecessary...

Hopefully you can see from this angle how the new extension is accessed from the old bathroom and why I chose to leave it until the last moment to knock through.... The toilet was situated right in the way Toilet out of the way now

All that was on the other side of the tiles was plasterboard so this came down quite quickly Next it was time to remove the toilet

May I ask have you fitted this to a bath where the top you sat it on is flat, or did you buy a specific bath with a shower screen recess??? We had the same issues but with the point where the bottom seal met the hinge we got rid of the bath and fitted one that was specifically for shower...
