    CREDIT CRUNCH

It'd have to be CC then, I presume. The Screwfix forum has CC and CCC down as none-time served. By the 'traditional' way of doing things I suppose that's correct, though I worked my way through college with jobs relevant to what I was studying. In the end I got sick of the uncertainty of not...

I'm trying to think of various acronyms and can't figure out what ccc or cc may stand for?

    CREDIT CRUNCH

As a former electrician I will always look down on the humble plumber.

Yep, and I'm loving it. 8) Let me guess - gas fitter?

    CREDIT CRUNCH

Aren't you a plumber? I've no idea, I think he was asked by his company to research it & report his findings. A quick Google search suggests inflation is higher than reported.

    CREDIT CRUNCH

Not going to comment on the current recession/financial crisis, but a member on another forum that I frequent reckons there's something brewing in China which will dwarf anything we've seen so far. Apparently the official figure for inflation there is ~5%, whereas the actual figure is closer...

Many people missed my presence from last week?

It doesn't, it says Eng. Does the 90 in your username refer to your age? No? Well your username says joe-90 years old.

Many people missed my presence from last week?

Oh for crying out loud. A) It's called irony. See the number of commas MM uses. B) I'm an engineering student.

Many people missed my presence from last week?

I thought this place had been more enjoyable. So what you're saying is, that a few, words written on an internet, forum, caused all of, this? You take things way too seriously.

End of the road for the space shuttle

A lot of the stuff up there can last a lot longer than the projected end of the 'mission'. I think once everybody has stopped worrying about money, governments will be willing to pour money back into space programs. It'd be a massive loss to everyone if we no longer had a space station...

End of the road for the space shuttle

The Russian Soyuz brings people back. Infact, this photo needs posting. It's a picture of Endeavour docked with the ISS, taken by Paolo Nespoli aboard a Soyuz capsule that had just left the station. As for the future of the ISS, see...

    My Daughter got a first!

His daughter's - Lincoln. Mine - not going to divulge, but it's in the top 10 in the UK for the subject. Oh, I've done some research. http://forums.unofficial-guides.com/showthread.php?s=f7a492bc3176700997ef5d9e6fe14de4&t=30449 Cya.

    My Daughter got a first!

2:2 from a decent Uni would still be better than a 1st from a Uni that is ranked 64th in the UK for that subject. Oh and for the record, I'm on course for a lot more than a 2:2.

    My Daughter got a first!

Top? This is a new development. Why didn't you tell us before? And with 74%? I'm not jealous - what exactly have I got to be jealous about? I'm just sick of your 'my daughter's so great' attitude as if nobody has ever done it before. That, coupled with your behaviour earlier in the thread...

    My Daughter got a first!

You're the one insisting that of those who achieve a 1st, very few reach 74%. Why don't you give us the percentage. FWIW, at better Unis (with higher entrance requirements) the percentage achieving a 1st is between 15-25%.

    My Daughter got a first!

Plenty achieve it, you're just too ignorant/arrogant to believe that while your daughter has indeed done well, the score isn't, infact, 'rare'. Oh, and her overall score is 74%, not 75.
