    Landlord Safety Check

Now that my friend is a Very Good point however you must assume for the basis of this topic that whenever any or all of appliances were removed from the system that a TT was done and no other is needed unless gas is smelled.

    quote for replacing motorised valve

No price is ever a rip off, the work is only worth what your willing to pay for it. So the parts will be £75 plus Vat and the labour (Should it take it 3 Hours) will be £65p/h where is the rip off?

Put it on the CC then. You really beleive on a GAS SAFETY check that you should NOT carry out a soundness test?

    Landlord Safety Check

All private landlords have to have a valid CORGI gas safety certificate for all the gas equipment in the accommodation they rent out. Gas safety certificates can only be given by CORGI registered gas engineers and are valid for 12 months or until the tenancy changes hands. In order to give a gas...

    gas fire fittings

Why would it be illegal to turn the gas knob to off on a perfectly good fire? I do it all the time on servicing. So if you went to a customers house where they had an inset gas that was all fine and dandy yet they just did not want to be able turn it on any more you would take out the full...

Let me get this right, Preheat, So you have an instant then? Well maybe you should have stated this first (dont mean to sound as it reads) as this boiler is a completely different animal to the normal 105 (without Pre Heat). You my friend have a blocked divertor valve i beleive. When you run...

    Building Site Plumbers

I got off site about 3 years ago and went to a small local firm, the difference is immense. Site plumbers and i include myself of 3 years ago are lazy plumbers. By that i mean that EVERYTHING is done on plastic, in empty shells on breeze block, with no customer and no furniture, you have a...

Chaffoteaux et Maury Britony combi 80

Dont quote me on this as i have not worked on many of these types but sounds as if the gas soloniod is stuck open. These boilers as with several others are designed not to fire with the combustion cover off and this is maybe why the flame went out with the cover off. If it is just the solonoid...

2 flow and 2 return pipes feeding upstairs

Sorry but maybe not a big problem. What most likely has happened is that at the point the system has been changed to a combi and that at the point where they have capped the flow and return they have left these pipes in so not much to bother about really.

Can anyone tell me what this is??

It is in theory a shock absorber. It is mainly used when Combis are being fitted where new water metres are fitted. Had to fit loads myself. Stops water hammer. Lot of water metres in my area non return valves failed so when you ran cold water it tricked combi boiler into firing up for a few...

Upstairs radiators won't fill with water

Check what the man above says but i would go for....................... A blocked cold feed to your system rather than the tank. Get a good Magnet and place it on the copper in your cylinder cupboard, if it sticks anywhere then there is your problem(as magnets dont stick to copper) and the...
