Most probably the boiler stat but have you checked your ball valve is not stuck in your tank.

Yes you would need 1 x 20mm extension and 1 x 10mm and basically you take out the tail where your valve connect and put these in instead. Obviously when drained :D

Pump is on boiler and alot of people will not bother to bleed it properly after they have worked on a system. You do not have a tank as you stated already you have a combi!
