Turn of the cold water feed tap under the boiler and run your hot water taps till they stop (Prety much instant) and your good to go my friend. Just be aware however that on the instant its more likely to be the pin in the housing behind the diaphram rather than the diaphram itself.

It is still against regulations for you to hang the jig, touch the flue or hang the boiler.

Make sure you change the water one and not the heating LOL ive seen this mistake being made before.

I have a sneeky feeling that its as simple as your thermistor on the HW side, which can be tested before fitted. I personally would go for that before divertors or PCBs for the cost efficient route alone.
