render and set all the way, looks like lime on brick. you can use nhl 3.5 or 5 (hydraulic lime) too speed up the process but retain all the beneficial properties of a putty and sand wall.if it floods again the wall will stand it time and time again. food for thought

board it, then use carlite and a straight edge. then skim or, run aa string line from either end of the rafters, fix some straight timber on to the side of the banana rafters and fix the boards to them :D
