    Porgrammable Room Thermostat

You require a 2 channell programmer for independent heat and hot water. It sounds like you have a single channell which means you can only control the heat with hot water on at the same time. Do you have a mid position 3 port valve or 2-2 port valves on your system? Pete

    MDPE Question

25mm MDPE will be fine for a combi. You can actually get larger sizes which are usually used for high flow unvented cylinder installations. I would recommend using an approved plumber to make the connection to the meter and laying the pipe etc as this has to be done to regulation and an...

    which stuart turner monsoon?

Nick 2 bar should be fine as the overhead deluge shower works more on the gravity principal. As long as your flow rate is good this will would even provide a decent shower at 1 bar. Since all the connections are 15mm to the unit your flow I would go with a 2 bar unit. Pete

Wickes slim plastic cistern - side fill to bottom fill?

Get a flush mechanism with a built in overflow so no external overflow pipes required. Bottom or side entry is just a case of drilling a core hole in the base and blanking off the side inlet hole. Pete

    New GCH Install

The first big question is do you have gas in the block and if so where is it in relation to you? 1st floor will mean working from heights to install your flue so this will increase the price from a standard install. Couple of grand as advised may not be enough as a decent boiler and rads...

    How to deflect an outlet...

I spy a gulley behind the main stack, what is this and where does it join the main drainage. Also do you have combined or independent drains? To comply with regs you need a rest bend at the base of a soil stack which as the guys above have said needs a bit of digging to sort out. Pete
