Outdated channel numbers on some sites

Well it looks like it could be the cable from the freeview recorder to the TV - Both the TV and the recorder get a good signal when directly connected to the aerial.

Outdated channel numbers on some sites

Well we can pickup both Bluebell hill and Crystal Palace very good normally (south essex) but I think the main aerial is pointed towards Bluebell hill. Our new TV doesn't show what mux/frequencies it is using for each channel but I have found a way to add the muxes individually so I can try...

Outdated channel numbers on some sites

I'm trying to solve some reception issues recently, but noticed that the wolfbane site is giving out incorrect channel numbers: eg. for BBC A: On the Bluebell Hill Transmitter it says CH 46 but the detailed view on freeview.co.uk says CH 32 Even more confusing if you scroll down to the...

Edward Colston statue: Four cleared of criminal damage

He means there should a democratic process to decide this, like I dunno, a referendum? They seem to have determined it's ok to cause criminal damage if you don't get your way and it hurts your feelings

Edward Colston statue: Four cleared of criminal damage

I haven't looked at any of the court documents, but the law reads "without lawful excuse" and one of the arguments was that they did have a lawful excuse: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/colston-statue-trial-does-not-6448800

Edward Colston statue: Four cleared of criminal damage

From the article: "Whenever the question was asked in the past two decades in opinion polls, letters pages and radio phone-ins, it seemed that the majority of people in Bristol said they wanted the Colston Statue to stay. They also wanted the Colston Hall name to remain. The argument was...

Edward Colston statue: Four cleared of criminal damage

There's a picture of the proposed plaque here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-44937719 One of the Conservative MPs was a little upset over the wording

Edward Colston statue: Four cleared of criminal damage

Can you provide a link to a vote or where this happened? I don't believe the public were asked for it to be removed bar a few independent twitter polls or radio phone ins. What actually happened is a labour MP put forward a planning application to add a second plaque.

    WiFi Enabled Appliances...

Saw they had wifi enabled microwaves the other day with voice activation. So you can put your food in and then start it with your voice while standing right next to the controls?

    WiFi Enabled Appliances...

    Filling old hinge cut outs

The first time I did this on some hinge cutouts I filled with ronseal wood filler but the results were crap. Then for the latch hole I glued a plywood in place then a combination of planing / filling / sanding and I got it super smooth and flat. If you have some very thin plywood it can be...

    Fitting blinds face-fix or reveal-fix?

Ok thanks - What about screw length? 70mm screw (what Bonni said) for a 30mm plug seems way too long?

    Fitting blinds face-fix or reveal-fix?

Well I drilled up where the first bracket should go with a 3mm masonary drill bit, got about 20mm in then it stopped. I couldn't tell what was beyond that so went in with metal drill bit with slow speed, the bit went through with not much pressure, at 50mm I stopped. The drill bit is 60mm long...

The true villans of the pandemic ?

The left, always playing identity politics, always misconstruing a critism of a policy or someones actions as an attack on the individual.

    Amiga 600 (or A600)

Still got my A1200 which I bought in 94 after saving for years doing a paper round. Never could get rid of it because I'd bought it with my own money. Been meaning to get it back and up in service for about 10 years now, but so many projects going on it's pretty far down the list. Currently...
