Is it safe to remove boiler cover (linea 24)

er, no. I haven't opened up the sealed area, which is why I said "now that I have stripped down the rest of it"

Is it safe to remove boiler cover (linea 24)

Thanks. Now that I have stripped the rest of it down, it is beginning to make sense. I have the PRV, diverter motor, filler-loop NRV, and the rattly plastic non-return valve all exposed. I can also finally see where the "bicycle pump" connector is..

Is it safe to remove boiler cover (linea 24)

I am draining, to replace the diverter, and I've always wondered, and almost come very close to finding out, if it's safe to remove the cover to the erm hot area. It has two clips at the bottom. Inside through the spyhole, I can see a heat exchanger which sits above the flame. I just want to...

Thanks Adrian. I'm not having much joy getting through to the supplier but I'll give it a bit longer. cheers, Carl

texecom premier Flush mount vs Surface mount.

Would you be happy with that keypad or would you want to return it? I'm not sure if I'm being picky - like when the pair of shoes I looked at had glue marks on them, but it's £100 + vat, and the perspex is broken.. Not heard back from the supplier yet.

Keypad has arrived damaged. Lame :-(

texecom premier Flush mount vs Surface mount.

Sounds ace! I'm a general network & IT guy, not much of a programmer but I can usually muddle my way through some perl or PHP with enough Googling and time. The only problem is, I *always* forget it before the time I try to do anything again. It's really hopeless unless you're doing it all the...

texecom premier Flush mount vs Surface mount.

Well, I have ordered it all now! I started off thinking I was going to spend £41.99 on a replacement Veritas & LCD keypad, and I have so far ended up spending £300 on a Premier 48, flush mount brass keypad, a Com IP module, and a battery. Just need a couple of fobs off eBay now. I was going...

texecom premier Flush mount vs Surface mount.

OK sod it, why not. What's the worst that could happen (!) :D (I am picturing my bad plaster disintegrating before my eyes, and my new wallpaper coming to pieces. No, it won't be that bad.. )

Hmm. Does look kind of cool ;) Does it come with the necessary backbox?

texecom premier Flush mount vs Surface mount.

OK I found some pictures. The surface mount box looks good. I'm not sure it's worth the hassle to install the flush mount one, especially as I have just had it all wallpapered. Any thoughts?

texecom premier Flush mount vs Surface mount.

I am replacing a surface-mounted R8 keypad. I was going to order the surface-mount Premire Elite keypad (Brass), but started to wonder about the flush mount. Does anyone have any idea about how the surface mount unit looks? Does it have a "flush" appearance to it? (does the front cover all...

    texecom update part 2:

This sort of thing is routinely done using Bluetooth. I do it for Asterisk phone systems (software phone system running on Linux). A cheap bluetooth dongle is placed in a location, and it is used for detecting whether the person is in the office or not (by detecting the presence of their phone)...

Texecom Premier Elite to replace R8

I hear the keypads do "keypad zones" and other clever stuff. I think I'm going to go for a Premier 48 since I gather they can do some clever automation related stuff that I might tie in with a Raspberry Pi. I'll no doubt be back with questions. so my £45 replacement alarm is currently...

Texecom Premier Elite to replace R8

but the panel is cheap! it's the keypad that's expensive! Do you see any potential issues with me replacing the R8 with a Premier? Other than trying to get hold of the proper manual.. ?

Texecom Premier Elite to replace R8

I am going to replace my Texecom Veritas R8. I don't know the code, the factory-resets are not working, and the (LED) keypad is manky anyway. Thankfully the engineers who installed it did a stellar job of labelling all the wiring, so I think it will be relatively straightforward to replace it...

Phenomenal gas usage from Vokera Linea boiler ?

I fixed my gas bills. I disabled pre-heat on the boiler with the PCB jumper (since it was flowing through the radiators - diverter valve broken). I turned the hot water temperature almost all the way down! Simple as that! My horrendous gas usage was mostly caused by the shower I think...

moving electric meter & fuse boxes ~1 meter. Old lead ca

Thanks for the feedback guys :-) I have somebody coming to have a look shortly. An NISIS or something approved chap who "can basically build a house", i.e. he can help with my other problems of plastering and what not. Also one of my customers says he has somebody who sorts this sort of...

moving electric meter & fuse boxes ~1 meter. Old lead ca

Thanks. I will ring them. I still need pricing for the fuse boxes etc. though. I presume the DNO won't do that part. I would need to organise them for the same day/time I suppose.

moving electric meter & fuse boxes ~1 meter. Old lead ca

Well, that was the plan up until a few hours ago... If I could get the lot moved for a few hundred quid then that's what I'd do. £600 is too much. I still need living room carpet, and a plasterer by the look of it.
