If you have an unvented cylinder, turning the cold, incoming main off will also turn the hot off. If you jhave spare new inserts why not use them although I doubt it would matter if the old ones were left in place.

Why would you want one? If you have to bleed it often there is a system issue!

Easiest fix! Is to bleed any air from the cylinder coil, there might be a bleed point on top of the coil connection, about half way up. May be there's a balancing valve that is turned (almost) off. It most likely is a bit more challenging! Possibly a blockage, I would suspect its a "gravity to...

You "turned off" the underfloor, switched it off or isolated the flow and return(s)? I dont believe the rest of the system cant be isolated! Although it might take some effort and maybe some building damage but if you have a hidden leak the damage will, in the long term, be much worse.

I also think you need a boiler repairer.

That's an old water heater jig, top pipe is gas bottom the water connection, You'll need a RGI to disconnect it.

Do you have only one 2port valve? Is the system fully pumped?

More likely the HW diaphragm, you should only need a few litres per minute to fire boiler.

Maybe you've not connected the room 'stat correctly!

Take the head off the bathroom TRV, it might have been fitted as a by-pass and if so needs an open route through and back to boiler to dissipate the heat.

I would agree with DH about the motorised valve but the rads getting too hot, with trvs, I would suggest dirt in the valves which will not be solved with lubricant, they will more likely need replacing.

I think you need a (registered) boiler repair man.

Is hot water ok? Do you have to reset several times before it works? Do you have plastic CH pipes?

I would usually suggest sealing system rather than altering the config, however, worcester's cbi boilers, is my opinion, was probably the worst they've ever made and I wouldn't trust it to hold water under pressure!

A small amount of water (condensation) coming out the schraeder valve is normal
