that won't work if he's getting a disk read error. if you put it in a caddy and it reads then it may be fixable through those routes, then replacing the sata cable and trying another slot on the motherboard.

might be worth doing a re-flow if you were going to take it apart and clean/check for loose connections.

i don't understand why every mac user is so defensive of their product. you say, "watch out! there is a problem with the latest mac" and you get a load of self righteous crap thrown about, why can't someone say "well thans for the infomation"?

also hacking an i.p address is a waste of time effort and legal fees.

might it be an i.p conflict? would it be worth setting up manual i.p addresses for each piece of hardware first and see how that goes?

Kodak printers are terrible, they have really cheap print heads that get blocked all the time, the ink is not that cheap and they are slow. The ONLY good point i can see in them is the barcoded recognition that changes the configuration depending on the paper.

yeah, the overclockers bundles would be a good way to go, just need a case and an operating system. There are plenty of instructional vids etc. to help you. Or got to a local computer shop and get some quotes (post them here if you like for advice). This way means you get better more personal...
