AEG BH26LE SDS Plus Rotary Hammer or Just Hammer?

Hi Mate, it's a 3 mode. Rotary Hammer (for hammer drilling with SDS bits) Rotary only (for drilling wood / metal - will need to use a standard 3 jaw chuck & adaptor for this) Hammer Only (for light chiselling with an SDS chisel)

    Price of spare Batteries.

Rubbish, the reason most industrial batteries are so expensive is because they use good quality cells, and very few manufacturers actually make batteries themselves. For instance Makita use Sony batteries, so the battery manufacturer can charge a hefty lump, by the time the power tool...

best cordless driver for £100 or so?

No mate, but I work for a place that sells a quite a lot of it.

    recomend me an impact driver

Bosch Blue give a 3 year warranty (standard 1 year, but you get an another 2 years free if you register it on line. They will also send a courier to collect a faulty tool, repair it and deliver it back to you within 5 days. They will collect from any address you specify (home, site, distributor...

    2 hours to burn out a £15 5" grinder

Buy cheap, buy twice. No offence, but didn't the alarm bells start ringing when you realised the grinder was cheaper than the blade you were using?

My first experience with a core drill bit...

Bingo - never ever use a diamond tipped core with hammer action on. This is why you've split the core, and the bad news is they will probably not give you your money back either unfortunately. They should always be used with the hammer switched off.

    milwaukee 18v powerplus drill PEP18T

If it's the same as the P18T Loktor (which I think it is) then the hard torque is 70nm. There are two different torque measurements on power tools, and manufacturers normally quote the higher of the two (normally called stalling torque or hard torque) but this isn't really relevant to popular...

Can I use SITE batteries in Makita tools?

rip fence stop for makita chopsaws?

You can normally only get them to fit on the extendable legstands that most manufacturers sell although you may find one that has a universal fitting. Try searching google for something like flip stop, length stop or mitre saw stop. Someone like Axminster or Rutlands may be worth a look as...

    SDS drill chuck

No, No, No!!! Even if you can get the chuck or SDS bits to fit in a 3 jaw chuck it won't work properly. SDS Hammer run at a different speed to impact drills, and the hammer mechanism is totally different on each machine. Daft question, but assuming you already own an impact drill with a 3 jaw...

    Stanley buy Black & Decker

For those who are interested, Stanley purchased the Black & Decker group this week for $4.6 Billion! Went through on Tuesday, and the word is that all the B&D and Dewalt products will be re-named as "Stanley Black & Decker" and "Stanley Dewalt" in the same way as they renamed Bostich as...

Are you using the old bits for ceramics (I think they're called Zip Bits) or the new Diamond X-Bits?

    Rotozip tool

Fantastic tool - have you seen the porcelain bits for this? Core bits & freehand cutting bit that cut DRY in porcelain, and claim 100 holes per bit!

    Which SDS Drill?

It's definately available in both voltages, and it has roto-stop for chiselling. Oh, and it's Bosch Blue, which seems to be a fairly popular choice round here!!!!

    Which SDS Drill?

Slightly over your budget but might be worth stretching to an extra £20, you would probably get £50 for the free cordless if you wanted to. http://www.screwfix.com/prods/70640/Power-Tools/Kits/Bosch-2kg-SDS-Hammer-110V-Free-Drill-Driver

    Cordless Screwdriver

 If the OP meant 60mm instead of 600mm then maybe an ixo, if not then you'd be better off with a corded machine, however you wouldn't have torque control. Even an 18v / 24v / 36v machine might do it, but you would probably only get 3 or 4 screws per charge.

    Jigsaw Help with Purchase

Bosch GST135BCE - especially if you're doing worktops, as it has a blade clamp that keeps the blade held straight. It's not cheap but better than anything else on the market, and has a 3 year warranty. http://www.screwfix.com/prods/86519/Power-Tools/Jigsaws/Bosch-GST135-BCE-720W-Jigsaw-110V

    9" grinder

Not true - a cheap brand won't have any form of motor protection (coated field coil, armature grid etc) so the dust & crap will get into the motor & kill it quicker.
