    thanks Moz, I know you've also posted about losing people close to you and it brings home a few truths eh? This assisted suicide debate is a hugely opinionated area and I can only say it as I saw it, the doctors and nurses we dealt with were fantastic, especially the ones on the chronic wards...

    No-one is denying that 'damp' exists, the question is does rising damp exist? and there have been many scientific tests which 'prove' it doesn't. Therefore all damp problems should be able to be explained by finding the source of the dampness or apparrant damage to brickwork assumed to be caused...

    I believe quite sincerely that something similar does happen in the nhs, my father-in-law died recently from alcohol liver disease and when it became apparrent to the nurses/doctors that all they were doing was prolonging an inevitable and fairly horrible death, they advised us of their chosen...

    Get a registered spark round to do a periodic inspection report, this will list the areas that require attention, their urgency and record all test readings. Its going to cost upwards of £150-£200 but its worth it for piece of mind and safety.

    light switch and dry lined wall box

    sleeve it with earth sleeving (green/yellow) and terminate in a section of connector strip, do not cut it back, its a right pain when you change the switch for a metal one at a later date, and need to earth it. Is the earth connected to the ring cpc?
