    What's going on here?

No, I havnt, so in this case my plans are kiboshed. It seemed like a strange wiring arrangement to begin with. Perhaps I buy an all-in-one PIR light fitting and do away with the stand alone PIR then.

    What's going on here?

I should clarify - the only way that light turns off is via the fuse box!

    What's going on here?

The PIR has a LNE feed. Presumably I wire the live to the live and neutral to the load?

    What's going on here?

I've learnt a lot in the last few months DIY'ing, but my brain does cartwheels as soon as I look at a wiring conundrum. I know it's best left to professionals but I though I could handle an outside light!!!

LED strip from existing sconce light feed

Hi Winston, Thanks for your insight - you learn something new every day, I had no idea about maintenance free JB's! In that case, this isn't the end of the world as I do also have two gang sockets either side of the breast within my cupboards so I can run my prospective LEDs off these. Now...

I needed to re-plasterboard the wall so i took the opportunity to remove them. In their place I screwed a junction box between the stud and extended the LNE...
