your miss understanding me bas, i can't make out head nor tail of why i have a problem. the diagrams are simple, i have a one way circuit on this but i don't understand what the problem is that i don't have power to the light when theres no problem on the consumer unit and no other fuses in the...

ok i've put both the wires together and nothing. I seem to have lost the power now (red wire) to the switch. I've also tried a new switch and still nothing. again nothing has tripped on the consumer unit. this is all very strange as all the other lights work in the house. please help !

yea red had the power. just going out now to get a strip....bit worried about putting the red and black together but if that's ok will do.

i need to nip out to pick the wife up, will back be shortly. Is the switch not wired up properly? Will try get a better picture of the ceiling as well. thanks up to know :)

on the bottom picture of the switch, is it normal to only have one red/black/earth cable?

Sorry posted before i saw your reply fella. Sorry i'm looking at the Schematic diagram thinking that 5amp thing is a fuse. so it's probably the switch?!

yes i've got power at the switch but no power at the ceiling connection...will there be a fuse in the wiring!?

ok i managed to get hold of a voltage tester, and i have power at the socket but not at the ceiling. looking at the diagrams am i right in saying their will be a fuse pushed inside my ceiling? cheers

I seemed to have developed a problem that has me stumbed, i hope some one can point me in the right direction !! My living room light has recently gone, i believe due to my wife putting 60W bulbs into a "40w maximum" light fitting. one night the fitting went ping and the light went out...

ok, i'll go buy some 400 then. Will that still remove the sludge out of the cold rads as surely water isn't circulating round them if they're cold!? I do have a motorised valve, it's on the third picture. Do you not recommend flushing the system, will that not solve the problem?
