    If it's just a few bad patches I would use easifill to fill & blend . But if it's lots then lining paper may be the best way especially on stripped walls where you may not have got all the old paste off.     Chalk or putty

    For jobs like this I use car body/ wood filler. Putty would need to be left bare for at last 8 days to form a crust, otherwise the oil will ooze out and shrivel paint and urrrgh :lol:

    Don't agree there growler lol. I never had a prob with thinning this stuff, and agrree with op it's almost unworkable without thinning. Whats the ceiling like? smooth? textured? is it the texture thats uneven? If so no ammount of paint will make it look right.

    I never used that sealant.. Wonder if white oil based undercoat will dry on it?Then put solo gloss on. I use oil based unders for a quick fix when I got to use emulsion on silicone. :oops: :) Good luck

    You dont need to sand the aluminium primer too much, only to de-nib. there is also no need to rub down undercoat too much -only to de-nib.     What colour was it? Some colours have a * or the words 'USE EXTRA COATS'. Signal red, willow fgreen , capricorn and lot of the zingy yellows need two coats of topcoat over unders.. Pain..
