what you can do is get a old/cheap driver and you can file the head to make it fit, thats what ive done when working in nursing homes

if both rcds are tripping have you got a live and neutral in the wrong side of the db

cpc is the (bare)earth cable which should have some green/yellow sleaving. by rights you should not twist the cables together, as you can make the conductor weak
