Hello all, I just tried to change a socket in my kitchen (just moved in). The existing 2G was fitted upside down, because the ring wires in to the box are simply too short to fit it the right way up. The new socket I want to fit simply cannot be fitted because of these really short wires...

I thought it was a zylene based paint? So have used cellulose thinners in past to clean brushes (Cellulose has Xylene in it, doesn't it?) Isn't trichloroethylene banned now? James

Is it the act of pushing clutch in that stops the engine, or the braking itself? Is there something electric loose in engine bay that is moving under braking? Plug leads etc, perhaps something shorting out? Could be a fuel issue, but I would expect that to happen all the time. James

And IIRC, Lawn sand is just sand mixed with, you've guessed it, iron sulphate... If you look at most of the moss killers, they have iron sulphate in then. Last time I bought a 10kg bag of FeSO4 (about 10 years ago!), it cost less than £5...so by far the cheapest way to kill moss although...
