Couldn't adjust while running as it kept cutting out, turned H screw a quarter turn a few times both ways and no change, turned L screw a quarter turn anticlockwise just once and result, it is running pretty good and blades seem great.

Changed the fuel pipes around after watching a youtube video and it pumps correctly now so I did have them the wrong way round. Started the machine and it was great for about 30 seconds, blades were running fast and freely and engine revving well then it died again, now it's doing the same. So...

Thanks I saw that repair kit on eBay and decide that as it looks quite an in depth procedure to dismantle the whole carb then it might just be worth spending a couple of quid on a bulb as it seems to be a case of four screws off and back on, just need the right size. Will take a measurement...

Just checked the manual online and yes it's as you say, I was doing it the wrong way round, such an idiot haha Well at least it still started which is good news, will order the foam for the air filter now and try the machine again in a bit, Cheers

Just tried it and got it going but as soon as I closed the choke it cut out, with choke open I was able to pull the trigger and get the blades moving so at least I know it's not ceased as I haven't used it for about 3 or 4 years. Any ideas why it would cut out when closing the choke?

I assume I should still put the filter casing back on though even without the foam?

The foam filter has fallen apart so I'll need to get some from somewhere. The pacman tool was for my Titan multitool but I bought a set so I do have the D type tool in the set, will give them a bit of WD40. Do you think I need to replace the carb?
