Well it turns out they sent me a length of pipe which is too short so I won't be doing that just yet, looking at it it does seem a bit fiddly trying to get the pipe into the small hole in the fuel tank. Should/can I remove the fuel tank in order to do this? Also now I have the can of carb...

Hello again, i have now got the replacement fuel pipe so will be looking to get started on the repair over the weekend. Do I need to get some carb cleaner? I have seen a can of it in Screwfix. Is it an easy job to clean a carburettor?

Sounds like a good idea, I'll pop into my local repair place and take the pipe and filter with me to see if they can sort me out.

I found a replacement pipe on Spare Parts World so I can order it from there, there is a shipping fee so before I place the order is there anything else I need to get?

Tygon fuel pipe doesn't seem to be available in the size I need, I think my pipe is 3.2 x 6.2mm

The pipe had broken, it was loose in the tank with the other thing in the pic. What now then?

Only one of the pipes go into the fuel tank and it's way too short to fish out

Okay so I had a little look today but couldn't see anything obvious, do I need to remove the pipes to inspect them? they are fiddly to access.

Floorboards taken up this morning and it's bone dry, the bottom of the void under the joists is higher than the water leakage outside. It's still coming out constantly and is clear water so I think probably a mains leak. Customer has called Welsh Water and they are sending someone today or tomorrow.
