Auto Air Vent Srew Cap Loose Or Tight !!!

It obviously could be. Depends on the amount of air that entered the system. Are the upstairs radiators the ones that are cold. Are they hot at the bottom?

    Boiler Installatio price?

That's also assuming I don't need to remove an existing boiler.

    Boiler Installatio price?

Providing it's as simple as you make out which it never usually is with a vaillant, a power flush, a filter I would want about £2000 + vat.

    Potterton Suprima boiler help

There's quite a common problem with Suprimas that causes them to go into lockout but we're not allowed to give advice on here regarding repairing boilers. If you get an engineer with some experience on these boilers he should know what needs replacing.

    Toilet overflowing

Don't go mad when tightening everything. Get everything reasonably tight, at least half a turn past hand tight, then turn the water on and check for leaks. Then if necessary tighten more. The worst thing you can do is to over tighten to the point of no return as this will cause leaks.

    Pump overrun

Yes you should remove the trv head or replace with a lockshield valve on the radiators located by a room thermostat. Otherwise the room thermostat will never be satisfied and will keep the boiler running for the whole times schedule.

drilling tiles for bar shower fixing kit

Almost. They're Marcrist. And very good quality but obviously that quality means they're not cheap.

Anyone up for a Real Problem ?

There is a HW off wire connected. At the wiring centre it's green/yellow for CH ON, Brown for HW OFF and Blue for HW ON. Unless they have been sleeved you may well have 2 of each colour at the programmer. You may need a multimeter to test for continuity so you don't confuse the switched lives...

    My Boiler cuts out

Get a gas engineer round it may be the gas valve has had it.

    Using pipe insulation internally

I don't think it's a case of not being bothered. It's not like they would do it for free now is it? I agree as it's not lost heat and gives a bit more heat to areas that aren't by a radiator. Under the ground floor is a must for obvious reasons. Another reason I don't do it that regs state you...

    Slow Pressure drop

I wouldn't expect it to be expansion vessel issues if you are only losing half a bar or so every six months. Sometimes the AAVs leak slightly. Also you could have a weep on a radiator valve for example. I wouldn't give it another thought if I were you. Just top it up every three months and you...

    Checking gas supply capacity

Someone needs to do a pipe sizing calculation to ensure the pipe is of a sufficient diameter taking into account the length, bends, elbows and other appliances that may be drawing off gas at the same time. I don't know what engineers you use but I for one don't just fit a boiler and worry...

    Leaking /corroded drain off valve

No it's been soldered in place using a blowtorch. As stated it is easier to just replace the washer inside.

    Fernox DS40

You're going to struggle power flushing a one pipe system. You may be better off just putting something a bit weaker such as the X800 into the system and leaving to circulate for a couple of weeks during normal operation with boiler turned up to maximum. Then just drain the system when it's hot...

Is there power from board to display? If not I would be thinking it's the pcb. If there is power but no display then the display needs replacing.

Having a problem installing shower diverter (leaking!)

+1 Flexis can split over time if they move about etc. and are definitely not a good idea to have hidden in a wall. Replace with rigid pipework. NOW!!!

    Help with Honeywell T6360 thermostat.

I think you're confused. What lamp are you talking about? There is no lamp on that stat. At least I've never seen one and I've fitted tons of them. That's just a basic thermostat. Good quality and reliable but very basic.

Vaillant Ecotec 418 - Starts with quite a boom

What a shame that people no longer need to be poached by vaillant they actively seek a service from them as opposed to their installer.
