Well I tightened them with hand as much as I possibly could until fingers started to hurt...so far ,so good no leaks yet....they have slotted end for screwdriver at the bolt end but can't see how that will tighten as you need to hold the nut underneath, impossible lol

Hi guys..so I've cut the soil pipe..its diameter is 90mm , however a standard wc connector is not going to fit so I've got this I've also got a flexible pan connector 200mm to 350. The problem is my new wc is back to wall fitting . With the adaptor in the soil pipe and the pan connector...

So you mean as it is put it inside the cistern and tighten from underneath with nut and washer? Included instructions don't mention anything so I'll leave it as is.

Which way round does the black rubber seal go in cistern valve? One side is flat and the other side as in picture has grooves in it? Also fo I meed to adjust the blue slider on the side of the valve or leave it as it came? Ta

Apparently that's how the come from factory pre fitted..so if the tails fail after a few years you bin the entire tap..what a ridiculous idea and grohe being so expensive

Hey guys...I bought a grohe start edge basin tap from Facebook marketplace..brand new in box..now the tails are attached, bit I cannot tighten or loosen the tails ,they just keep turning, won't tighten and won't come out..any ideas?

What's the internal diameter size of the cast iron soil pipe? I've been told to simply cut off the collar of the soil pipe...then simply use a flexible pan connector from new toilet and push it in as far as it could go..will a standard wc pan connector fit into the cut soil pipe?

Sorry been a while still ain't done it but got a week off soon so hoping doing it then..yes it connects to soil stack outside..see pic. Was thinking tske out old cast iron section connected to soil stack..so fit in a tee to connect to wc outlet and into soil stack..what size tee would I need.?

It's the cartridge that's faulty.. It was hex grub screw..ordered replacement cartridge

Thsnks tried slotted screwdriver nothing to turn ..maybe it's fallen off and fell inside the tap..so much for bristan quality ...looks like a new tap then.

Thanks but there doesn't appear to be a screw in there..I've tried some small Allen keys..?
