    Lost

I watched the first ones, though I hadn't really read up on it before hand and so didn't realise it would have a surreal edge to it. Its always hard to tell from first episodes, as they are still laying out the stall a bit, but I think I'm going to like it. Be careful with the US websites...

    I CAN READ YOUR MIND

DON'T SCROLL DOWN TO THE ANSWER......... Think of ANY number. Multiply it by two Add 8 Halve it Take away the number you first thought of....... Now, using the code A=1, B=2, C=3 etc., convert this number into a letter. Think of a country beginning with that letter Think...

LEASE nuclear power stations to iran

Too right - I don't think any country's going to give up having the final say on self-defence. With regard to the electricity issue though, I guess they need to generate electricity somehow. Options are: 1) Some variant of your original plan - Though it would probably need to be universal...

    Faith vs Function

Probably back in the days when parents didn't talk to their children about things like periods, and she was ashamed when they started. You'd have thought she'd have found an opportunity to smuggle it out in her schoolbag though, wouldn't you. With regards to Adam's bit about Dead Starlings...

    Greek airline crash

Would be pretty cool (no pun intended) if some had gone into 'hibernation' and could be thawed out and brought back to life.

    Vintage Computing!

A 16k Ram-Pack for the ZX81 used to be about £50, IIRC, back in the day. It plugged into an edge connector on the back and if, after a couple of hours programming, a butterfly came and breathed on it, then the whole thing froze and you had to start again........

LEASE nuclear power stations to iran

The detail would need working on, but there could well be something in having Nuclear Power stations controlled on a UN basis - The UK and US could even show willing by letting theirs come under the same regime. The only concern I could see from the Iranian viewpoint is that there is always...

    Idiot in my space

I always saw disabled and parent & child spaces as a way of giving a break to people who could do with one, without causing that much inconvenience to everyone else. When you've got kids to load/unload, you need to have doors at both sides wide open to get them in and out. You also don't...

    Idiot in my space

A fatty. But actually not that lazy, and don't eat anywhere near as much as my (admittedly chain-smoking) skinny friends either.

PETROL PRICES RISE AGAIN AND WHERE ARE THE FARMERS?

I just got this as a chain e-mail, but it might just work... >See what you think and pass it on if you agree with it We are hitting 95p a litre in some areas now, soon we will be faced with paying £1 a ltr. > >Philip Hollsworth offered this good idea: > >This makes MUCH MORE SENSE...

    Idiot in my space

I got to Tesco once, to see a somewhat large lady getting out of her jeep, parked next to me, in the Parent and Child spaces (of which my car contained one of each). I left a note on the windscreen to the effect of 'This is Parent & Child parking, not for lazy people like yourself' I then...

    adverts.

Does anyone remember about ten years ago, and there was an advert on for Neutralia Garnier or something, that actually showed a (whisper it) Lady's Breast. It was on late, so normally after drinking, but I'm sure it definitely existed. Everyone else says I'm making it up.

    Good Old-Fashioned Robbery

Of course, a bent copper these days is entirely different to a bent copper in the '70s, what with Gay Pride and all that

    Out-side light continuouly on...help!

If it turns out that that was the problem, you might want to consider fitting a switch somewhere along the line - Very short power cuts can cause this to happen, and its very annoying if you can't reset it easily....
