    Replacing Vokera 20-80 RS Flowmatic

Purely the fact that I have had bad experiences with Alpha's.Personally not a fan of them. Another brand to look at is Vaillant. They do their pro range, which is a very good boiler. A bit bigger size wise than the broag. Graham

    Central hating v Gas fire

Get rid of the fire! Maybe look at adding some extra controls on to your central heating system, like thermostatic rad valves, if you have not got them installed. Graham

    Replacing Vokera 20-80 RS Flowmatic

Out of those two, go for the Broag. Assuming you only have a shower and/or a bath, then a 28kw would suffice. The broag is one of the smallest and quietest boilers on the market. Graham

1.Yes 2.Yes 3. Do not touch that knob.Yes it will drain the boiler but not the whole system, but you risk it not seating down again afterwards. 4.Drain points are to drain the system.A prv is there as a safety feature should the pressure in the boiler rise too much. 5.Lowest part of the...

Draining radiators on system with Combi Boiler

As already stated all you need do is isolate boiler electrically, by any of the ways that bengasman has stated. Why do you want to isolate the boiler anyway? Touch those valves and they will leak, causing pressure loss, and then you will have to keep topping the boiler up. Graham

    make mine a builders

I have tried it.Morrisons sell it, and the only reason I bought it a few months back, was because it was on special. All in all a nice cuppa, for a tea bag cuppa, but for those out there that like their tea, there is only one choice.....Yorkshire leaf tea.Bit messier than bags but well worth it.

Some mothers do have 'em....but they like a moan

My wife gave birth to our son Nathan, 6 weeks ago today, after a 27 hour labour. His head was 41cm round, he weighed 8lb 6 ounces and my wife did not moan and complain at all, although she was in complete agony. Even with 2 epidurals that did not work. All I can say Skitz, is that when...
