WB Greenstar CDI or Vaillant ecoTEC Exclusive 832?

I would not fit either of those boilers. Vaillant ecotec plus 831 will more than fulfill your requirements. Why do you want to get rid of the hot water cylinder, and go over to a combi? Is it for increased hot water flow, or space saving in the cylinder cupboard etc? Personally, if...

    Showermate Pump Problem

Sounds like it could be the flow/reid switch sticking. IIRC, they are situated either end, on the outlet pipes, on the pump

boiler advice please is this one ok

I would suggest finding another gas engineer. As fuses are blowing, and water has got into the boiler, then it can only be a few things at the most, that are faulty.

Quick Storage combi boiler and tap/shower supply question

Balanced feeds are put in after the pressure reducing valve, to primarily feed mixer fittings, showers taps etc, so that the hot and cold are balanced. So yes the shower should be off of balanced, not so much of an issue for the kitchen and outside tap. In a new build evrything would...

which is the best combi boilers

Ok Should have asked you to take a reading with no other taps open. What you have there, with another tap open is around 8.5 lpm, which is all your current boiler will do anyway. So this is your worst case scenario for hot water flow, if someone opens another tap, flushes the loo...

which is the best combi boilers

You need to establish your incoming dynamic cold water flow rate as well. To do this: Measure how long it takes to fill a jug, from a cold tap. Do this with another cold tap open elsewhere. Obviously note the volume of the jug, and long it takes to fill the jug, and report back to us. Graham

Exterior Grade Ply ok for Shower Tray Base?

If the tray is on legs, then I would just replace the chipboard you have with the green moisture resistant stuff. Alot cheaper than ply. But ply is ok nevertheless. Graham

    vaillant ecotech plus

Look for two grey handled valves under the boiler. These are for the filling loop. Looking at the guage on these is not toatlly accurate. Press i on the panel and then the - button, to get a the true pressure reading. Graham

    Combi for flat renovation

Out of that list I would go for the vaillant. But as you are doing it up to sell on then get a quote for a main combi or a glowworm betacom a. Both really solid boilers, IMO

Swap position of toilet & sink - is this a big expensive

If it is just swapping positions, and as the soil pipe is in the corner, then probably not going to be a very big expensive job. Presuming you can get the fall etc on the toilet waste. Wherabouts in Hampshire are you? Graham

re-charge expansion vessel on baxi combi 105

How come you started a new thread? A quick tell if the exp vessel is goosed, is undo the shraeder valve cap, and push in the pin. If water comes out then the vessel is knackered. If not, then recharge it using a footpump. Need to isolate boiler and drain down first. Recharge vessel to about...
