    Which synthetic sink to buy?

Personally I would go for a darker sink, as the lighter ones tend to show more staining. You will be forever cleaning it!! Unless you live in a very hard water area then a darker one will show up all the chalky residue. Failing that go stainless. But out of those 2 I would go for the...

    Combi boiler Quote

If you have to have a Worcester, then go for a cdi. The reason you probably were not offered the cdi, is that they can get the si for a lot lot less than we can! Was the vaillant an 831 plus? Personally would fit a vaillant over the worcester any day, but the choice is yours. Graham

    Boiler pressure dropping slowly HELP

The pressure going up when the heating is on is normal, as long as it is not going up too quickly. That is the expansion vessel doing its job. Check all rad valves, visible joints and pipework. As you say it is a very small leak, but irksome none the less. What boiler is it? Graham

    boiler pressure rising constantly

I have had two in the last fortnight, both worcester cdi, one a 28 and one a 35. As already stated an easy job to do. Just watch that pcb. although it has(or should have the palstic shield on the back of the panel, water still might get in. Graham

Moving a boiler into a Conservatory

As you have already had quotes, did any of them suggest putting the boiler into the conservatory. I have seen quite a few installs in conservatories, but these have been on detatched houses where, the plume from the flue condense does not cause a problem with the neighbours. Without looking...

Greenstar 37CDI and gas pipe size

An under sized gas supply is an At Risk situation. The Worcester guy, if he did measure it correctly and got those figures, should of, with your permisssion, shut the boiler off, until the fault is rectified. As Tony has said, it will work Ok, but doesnt comply with regs Graham

    Moving taps and reducing pipes

15mm should be fine. The 22mm feed is probably from the old gravity system that was there. Obviously the larger the pipe the larger the flow. As you have a mains fed system then 15mm will be fine. Personally not a big fan of plastic, but if you are using it make sure it is installed to the...

Just because he has a high number does not mean he is unexperienced. He may have just started on his own, after working for a firm. Let the OP tell it himself!

    Remeha has rejected my warranty

I have had heateam out to a few duotecs over the past year or so, and they have been more than amiable and helpful in fulfilling their warranty terms. Heateam out twice to a 28 remeha combi, and it is a different kettle of fish.Sameengineer.Perhaps some sour grapes about being bought out...

Replacing CH and hot water systems - conflicting advice

If flow and pressures are OK, then go for an unvented cylinder and system boiler. As already stated these tests are a must. The flow cup is the first thing out of the van, when quoting on a job like this Graham

    Bosch 30 cdi or Vaillant 837 ??

As Ben has said more important is the quality of the insatll and installer. Out of those two I would go for the Vaillant, but as the 30cdi has been recommended, then the 831 ecotec is closer to the output of the cdi. Another major factor is , has either of the plumbers checked your...
