DHW Flow switch sticking, rushing noise is wax capsule in diverter valve being forced open due to immense latent heat in boiler, thus trying to force heat away from your boiler around the rads. Can be cleaned or ultimately replaced, part costs about £6.

You need to check as previously mentioned that the gate valve is fully opened. If it is ok, then change the seating in the ball valve to a low pressure, thus allowing the feed tank to recover water more quicker than it is being drawn off at, and stop air being sucked in.

Switch is behind the PCB's on the end of the brass flow switch. Has two wires, (orange if I remember rightly), and screws into the flow switch, with a locknut on it.
