    Thorium

This topic op about thorium reminded me of a ditty... Thorium being named after the Norse God Thor was riding his bicycle through the clouds one day and shouting out..."I'M THOR, I'M THOR" like it was thunder and his bum was hurting. Then a little voice from below said "you've forgotten...

    sad

I cannot make my mind up whether to be sorry or not for all the children being born to refugee Africans because they will not use berth control or stop copulating or rape. One woman in that situation said she wanted 6 children all of which had to be fed from world food donations. I do not like...

Fuel prices... When will they hit £7/gallon?

A couple of weeks ago it was £1.28 per litre in ASDA were as in TESCO it's £1.35. No good to me though because I was on my bicycle.

Toilet seat wobbly (one month old)

I have put in a loo like that and used an expanding soil pipe connection to the pipe in the wall and flexible water pipes. So, undo the floor screws and try easing the loo away from the wall. By the way, empty the loo of water first. Good luck

    Calling cylcists

Knobbly tyres will pick up snow and without a good clearance to the frame will block up. They also ride more on top of the snow. Narrow tyres with a small amount of tread cut through the snow and can give quite good grip. However, everything is okay in a straight line and on the flat, on hills...

    One mans happy xmas

Last Friday I was cycling along a pavement in the dark and found a wallet. It had the usual cards in it and cash of £185. I did some searching on the internet and was able to get a message to the owner via his employment agency. He rang me back and I was able to hand it back to him personally...

What men say....and what they mean..

I would say if a bloke can't say or hint what he wants then get him socks or woolly hat. If a woman then it's a Strimmer or nose hair clipper.

    imagine hundreds of years ago...

Yes, that reminded me of the time I was younger before I could afford an alarm clock. I would drink at bed time 2 pints of water. This would get me up for 5 o'clock to do the paper round. 1 pint for 6 o'clock. May be this also worked for people 100 years ago.

    80mph limit on motorways.

I would have thought that anybody travelling at a higher speed would get to the traffic hold up more quickly. On the whole traffic travelling faster only adds to a congestion. If the 80mph limit was brought in it should be the case that it is compulsory to travel at that speed when in the...

    laying a gravel drive

The paving expert is worth a visit. The problem I have found with a menbrane is ir doesn't allow the gravel to bed down. Many years ago I stripped my lawn and laid the gravel straight on the soil. Membranes weren't available for DIYers. I have dealt with weeds with a weed killer and it stays...

    Trolling conviction

There are degrees to trolling but trolling none the less and it is up to us on this site to make it known to the admin. that it is trolling and should not be tollerated. Some bad things have been said on this site and it would be a good thing if it was stopped and the trolls turned over a new...
